Terms & Conditions
Governing law: State of Arizona. Last updated: June 2025.
1. Not Insurance
CoShared is not an insurance company and does not offer insurance products. The healthshare programs accessible through CoShared are not insurance and are not regulated as insurance. Members of healthshare programs voluntarily share each other's qualifying medical expenses. Participation does not guarantee that any particular medical expense will be eligible for sharing.
2. Broker Relationship
Dr. Terry Silkman is a licensed insurance broker who facilitates enrollments into the partner healthshare programs. By enrolling through CoShared, you acknowledge that Dr. Silkman earns a commission from the applicable healthshare partner. A portion of that commission may be distributed to referring CoShared members as points in accordance with the referral program described herein.
3. Referral Program
CoShared operates a multi-level referral rewards program. When a member you refer (or a member referred by your referral, up to three levels) enrolls in a healthshare plan through CoShared, you earn points credited to your CoShared account. Points have no cash value except as redeemable through CoShared's payout system at 100 points = $1.00 USD. Points are not transferable and expire only upon account termination.
4. Points & Payouts
Points earned through the referral program are denominated as integers at a rate of 1 point = $0.01 (one cent). Payouts are issued via PayPal or Venmo at your election, at the rate of 100 points per $1.00. CoShared reserves the right to adjust the referral rates and points-to-dollar conversion rate with 30 days' notice to members. Historical point balances are unaffected by prospective rate changes.
5. Membership & Account
Membership in CoShared is free. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. CoShared may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used to submit fraudulent enrollments.
6. Eligible Enrollment
CoShared connects members to partner healthshare programs. Eligibility for each program is determined solely by the applicable partner. State availability restrictions apply — some partners do not operate in certain states (see each partner's detail page). CoShared does not guarantee availability, acceptance, or continued operation of any partner program.
7. Data & Privacy
CoShared collects the personal information you provide (name, email, phone, payment details) for the purpose of operating the platform and facilitating enrollments. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share enrollment information with the applicable healthshare partner and with Dr. Terry Silkman for commission attribution purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
CoShared is a technology platform that facilitates connections between members and healthshare programs. CoShared is not liable for any medical expenses, coverage denials, or partner program changes. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the CoShared platform is to discontinue use and close your account.
9. Changes to Terms
CoShared reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account. Continued use of the platform following notice of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
